The Marshall Plan and its impact on the Cold War!
The Marshall Plan was the American program to aid Europe and the United Sates gave economic support to help rebuild economies. In the beginning of April 1948 the plan was in operation for four years. The Soviet Union and its allies did not accept the offer of the same aid. The plan was operational during the four years and thirteen billion dollars was given to help the recovery.The reconstruction plan developed at a meeting of European states and was established on June 5, 1947. It offered the same aid to the Soviet Union. Also, its allies but they did not accept it. During the four years that the plan was operational. The United States had 13 billion dollars in economic and assistance was given to help the recovery of the European countries. in 1948, the 13 billion dollars was in the context of a U.S. GDP of 258 billion dollars and was on top of 13 billion dollars in American aid to Europe between the end of the war and the start of the Plan. The Marshall Plan was then replaced by the Mutaul security plan at the end of 1951.
